Lord Pancha Mukha Ganapathi and Lord Muruga with His consorts Valli and Deivanai are on the right and left of Mother respectively.  Lord Shiva in the temple is praised as Ananda Pureeswarar.  There is a separate shrine for Mother Anandavalli.  The pillars in the mandap bear figures of 18 Siddhas.

Mother Vijaya Jaya Chamundeeswari came to this place after destroying demon Mahishasura.  The place is praised as Tapovan as many sages and Mahatmas performed penance here and Siddha Bhoomi as it was home to them in the past.  Every devotee experiences the bliss and happiness in life after worshipping Mother here, hence the place is also praised as Ananda Puri – Abode of Bliss.
