About 300 years ago a Siddha performed intense penance on Lord Siva Subramania in this place.  During the penance, one day his body was found disintegrated – leg, hands and the rest of the body separately.  The villager were shocked and surprised and prayed to him.  The Siddha told the villagers to build a temple there after he attained Samadhi installing Lord Siva Subramania.  The temple was built as the Siddha wished and ordered.  The villagers are now happy with the blessings of Lord and the Siddha.
