The temple belongs to 16th century.  It does not appear to have scriptural history behind it.  It is the poetic imagination of a sculptor seeing a rock with red lines running on it.  His chistle worked.  Statues and idols came alive and became the pillars of this temple producing a melodious music in them.  This is Krishnapuram Sri Venkatachalapathi temple.
