PARIYAI NARIYAKKI VAIGAYAI AZHAITHTHA PADALAM: In the stable all the horses remained as Jackals. Pandiyan”s mind became like boiling hot pot. “Does Thiruvatha vooran  wants  to fool me, the Arimarththna Pandiyan? Catch him. First he showed beautiful horses. Now they have been changed intos jackals. Has he become a magician? He is enacting a  drama  for the sake of money” scolded the king. He ordered “Catch him again.” The soldiers reached the place of Vathavoorar. They went inside the meditation hall and shouted at him saying “Are you sitting under meditation after converting the horses into jackals? Come with us”. Saying so,  they dragged him to the palace. The King also spoke harsh words to him.”I do not like to see you, who is avaricious. I did not kill youn at the beginning itself. That is my fault. Yet I have to retrieve the money appropriated by you. That money belongs to the citizens. First give it back.” So saying, he called the soldier by the clapping his hand, “Make  him lie down in the hot sand bed .”

The soldiers tied big boulders on his hands and legs and made him lie down on the hot sand. Manickka vaasaagar could not near the heat of the sand. He cried vehemently. The Temple of Meenakshi Amman was visible at a distance. He looked at it and prayed “O” GOD, Why this torture? What is the mystery behind this act of converting horses into jackals. Why did you give me this torture?” with tears rolling down from his eyes. Lord Sundareswarar’s( who was inside the temple) heart melted down,  on hearing this heart rendering plea of Vaatha voorar. But will shower  pity only after giving troubles to good people. In the riverbed ,which was full of hot sand, heavy flood of water  flowed even though there were no rains. The soldiers rushed to the shore. But the boulders tied on to  Manickka vaasagar broke into piecec. But the water flowed at his toe level only in the place where Mannickka Vaasagar was standing. He was not drowned. Within a short while, the quantum of  flood water increased  and destroyed the river banks. Manickka vaasagar did not move at all,  from that place where he was standing. He was standing in the cold water there, thinking “ what ever happens let it happen” and was singing songs praising the GOD.
