Theerthavari in Mahimalai River is celebrated on the Aadi Perukku – 18th day of Aadi in July-August. Mother Seethala Parameswari, Kathavarayan, Pechi Amman and Karuppan grace the devotees from their respective shrines. People use to dissolve pepper, sugar and salt in the temple tank so that some boils in the body and worries in mind also would be dissolved and pure health restored. People tie yellow thread in the Neem tree of the temple for wedding boon and tie cradles for child boon. |
