Temple History: | |
Marugn in Tamil means nephew. As Son of Mother Parvathi the sister of Lord Vishnu, Muruga is praised as Maal (Vishnu) Marugan. Legs that do not tread in Tirutani (a famous place of Lord Muruga) and the heads that do not bow before the Lord of Tirupati are but waste, say those deeply wedded to our religious traditions. This temple offers the opportunity of worshipping both Lords under a single roof in this temple. Lord Amirtha Ganesha adds more beauty and sanctity to temple with His seat between the two Lords – Vishnu and Muruga.
