Special pujas are dedicated to Sri Hanuman and Lord Sarabeswara on Saturdays and Sundays respectively.  The temple is ever active with pujas. abisheks and special aaradhanas throughout the month for the various deities in the temple such as Rahu Kala puja to Mother Durga, Pradosha and Sankatahar Chaturthi.  Pahal Pathu and Rapathu festivals are celebrated for Lord Srinivasa and Mother Padmavathi Thayar through the Margazhi month – December-January.  Sri Hanuman appears majestically on His Jayanthi Day with one lakh and eight Vadamalas.  Panguni Uthiram festival is dedicated to Lord Triambakeswara and Mother Karumari Tripura Sundari with wedding event when the devotee crowd would be huge.  This is a temple graced by Lord Triambakeswara-Mother Karumari Tripura Sundari and Lord Srinivasa-Mother Padmavathi Thayar – a confluence of Saiva-Vaishnava philosophy drawing devotees from both sides to worship both Lords and Mothers simultaneously and blessed with all Sowbaghyas-prosperity in life.

  Temple History:

The history of the temple begins with Mother Karumari Tripura Sundari who was in the form of a trident under an Ilandhai tree.  With efforts of devotee Shakti Sundaresan and others in the place, the temple was built and idols were installed as per religious procedures.  Mother Tripura Sundari appears in Her sitting posture with one leg bent and the other placed on the ground.  She is holding trident and rattle drum (udukkai) in the upper two hands while the lower two hands show the Abhaya Mudra – promising protection to devotees.  A five hooded serpent is behind Mother as an umbrella.
