This is a temple noted for Saiva-Vaishnava unity with separate shrines for Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu. Sri Anjaneya in the Sanctum Sanctorum in a standing form appears politely worshipping Lord Rama. Sri Garuda and Sri Anjaneya praised as Peria Thiruvadi and Siria Thiruvadi respectively are under the Rajagopuram as Dwarapalakas. |

The east facing temple has a three tier Rajagopuram with six
Kalasas. Flag post, Balipeeta and the
well – Theertha Kinaru are next to the main tower. Passing the flag post, we have the darshan of
Sri Garuda opposite the sanctum worshipping the Presiding Lord.

|
Lord Rama grants darshan to the devotees in standing form
holding His praised Kothanda bow from the sanctum sanctorum accompanied by
Mother Sita and beloved brother Sri Lakshmana.
Azhwars and Jaya Veera Anjaneya bless the devotees from their respective
shrines. Sri Chakkarathazhwar and Lord
Narasimha have separate shrines. The
vimana-tower above sanctum sanctorum- has sculptures depicting the 10
incarnations of Lord Vishnu. The Lotus
Feet of Lord Rama are installed behind the shrine of the presiding deity. The temple is under the management of Ramanathapuram
Samsthan.
