Prayers | |
|
| |
|
Devotees seek the interference of Sri Bala Anjaneya for child
boon, freedom from fears, confusions in mind and like wishes. Devotees believe that He would certainly come
to their rescue in times of crisis. For
realization of their just wishes, they cover Him with butter, offer silk
vastras, dress (Alankara)Him with fruits, offer betel and Vada garlands. Vada is a popular dish in Tamilnadu. The garland is made of Vadas. During the Sani planet transitions, they
perform Archanas to reduce the intensive impact of the planet during such
periods.

Greatness Of Temple: | |
|
|
|
|
The story that Sri Anjaneya was born to Vayu Bhagwan and Anjana
Devi, that He placed Himself for the services of Lord Rama, that He was noted
for His boundless invincibility, is well known among the devotees. That Anjaneya is gracing this Temple as a Balaka,
Child.
His energy and power are in his tail. The Rajagopuram is designed as His Tail Fort
– Valkottai. There are sculptures in the Valkottai showing Anjaneya worshipping Lord Rama, Mother Sita and Sri Lakshmana.
Devotees worship Sri Bala Anjaneya by tying a black thread in
their hands for relief from fear and illness.

Temple History: | |
|
|
|
|
Hundreds of years ago. Sri Bala Anjaneya had his shelter under
a tree. A devastating tempest in the
year 1964 ruined the whole of Danushkodi (part of Ramanathapuram) and the tree
therein. But the velocity of the tempest
could not move Sri Bala Anjaneya even by an inch. Sri Anjaneya stood
majestically and heroically in His own place.
King Ragunatha Sethupathi, a staunch devotee of Sri Anjaneya built a temple
and also celebrated the consecration grandly.
The next consecration was recently celebrated in this year-2015.
