The Temple Has All The Aspects Prescribed By The Agama Sastras As A Vimna With A Kalasa On The East Side.  The Front Mandap Has A Comfortable Space For 100 Devotees For Mothers’ Darshan.  Besides Flag Post, Balipeeta, Nandhi In The Respective Places, There Are Shrines For Lord Muruga On The Left Side, Lord Vinayaka On The Right, Lord Dakshinamurthy Facing South, Vallalar And Pechi Amman.  Sri Anjaneya In Standing Posture Facing West, Saptha Kannikas, Angalamman, Karu Mariamman, Durga, Samayapurathu Amman, Draupathy, Lord Krishna Are Facing North In The Outer Prakara.  The 10 Feet Tall Anthill In The Thatched Shed Behind The Sanctum Is 40 Years Old, It Is Said.  Mother Naga Kali Amman Is Under The Anthill.  Deity Aiyanar Is Facing East.  There Is A Guard With A Horse.  All Are Carved Sculptures.

One Thiruvengadam Pillai Was Living In Perumathur Was A Staunch Devotee Of Ramalinga Vallalar, A Great Saint Known For His Humanitarian Outlook Of Religion To Eliminate Hunger – Jeevakarunya Philosophy.  His Daughter Madharasi Also Is A Vallalar Devotee.  She Was Not Interested In Marital Life.  Some One Appeared In Her Dream And Said That She Would See A Mystery After Her Marriage.  Her Marriage Took Place Within 60 Days.  Her Father Died On A Day He Predicted Earlier.  The Person Who Appeared In Her Dream Earlier Then And Called Her To Show The Mystery.  With The Help Of Many In Sleep And Relatives, They Removed The Wild Bushes And Reached A Forest Place And Found Amman In The Form Of An Anthill.  The First Temple Was Under A Thatched Roof.  Efforts Were Taken To Build A Full Fledged Temple And Successfully And Completely.

Smt. Madharasi Is Maintaining The Temple And Also Offering Arul Vakku To Devotees.
