Lord Sri Rama appears on the wall in a worshipping form of Sri Vishwarupa Anjaneya in the goshta of sanctum sanctorum. As Sri Anjaneya brought Him the news of safety of Mother Sita, it is said that Lord respectfully greets His messenger. Worshipping Rama in this form will help devotees developing the quality of simplicity. Lord Bhairava appears in a separate shrine right of Ambica’s turning right with His dog vahan. The sacred spring created by him is outside the temple. It is believed that the devotee worshipping the Lord after a dip in the spring will be blessed with child boon. Fear of enemy and sins would vanish. There are three lizard sculptures behind Mother Ambica shrine. Those affected by some doshas pray here. The temple is a testimony Tamil architecture. Lord Dakshinamurthy gracing from a mandap with a pillar with seven musical tunes, Chandikeswara shrine, representing the feature of a cave temple built on a single rock, a warrior on the horse readying for war are some of the sculptural skill that are exclusively Tamil. Nandhi, the bull vehicle of Lord Shiva is in a separate mandap.

Temple History: | |
Brahmma the creator too had five heads as Lord Shiva. Hem became too proud of this convenience. It so happened that Mother Parvathi once extended all the respect to Him mistaking Him as Lord Shiva which Brahmma accepted without pointing out the error to Parvathi. Realizing the mistake, Mother Parvathi reported the matter to Lord Shiva. Lord sent His deputy Vairava to pick off one head of Brahmma. Lord Vairava is gracing the devotees from this temple.
