Baba asked Ganpath to take some quantity of cooked rice and mix it with curd and offer the same to a Black Dog wandering near Lakshmi temple. Ganpath could not understand the relation between the malaria disease and the dog, His inner mind suggested him it will be good for him to accept what Baba had said without going into its merits and act one hundred percent as told by Baba. Baba’s leelas are in thousands. Who has understood the intricacy behind them. When he reached his house he found in the kitchen in front of his eyes some cooked rice and curd . It was left over food cooked in the morning on that day. Why it should appear in front of his eyes? Did Baba only want to show this to him? Let me do as told by Baba. He rushed to the Lakshmi temple taking along with him some quantity of cooked mixed with curd, without minding his malaria .
A black dog came in front of him. It looked as if it was waiting for him only and wagged its tail. He was wonder struck to see a black dog which he had not seen earlier coming in front of him and wagging its tail. But any surprise can occur in Baba’s kingdom. The water from the ocean may climb a mountain. If Baba thinks if one touches the fire it will give cold sensation. So coming out his surprise, Ganpath kept the curd rice in front of the black dog. One does not know for how many days it was hungry. It took the food in haste. Then it went near the outer wall of the Lakshmi temple and lied down there as if it had performed a heroic act. Ganpath returned back o his house. He felt that he has regained his original health back once again. He could feel that the malaria which he had and which the doctors felt cannot be cured and given up their hope of curing it got removed from his body permanently. The doctors also did a blood test and confirmed the same wondering all the while.
Ganpath folded both his palms in front of Baba with respect and devotion. What is there behind this incident? Baba’s actions are beyond research. The basis of the spiritual science is as you sow so you will reap. Behind these acts of Baba there is a spiritual science is hidden there. Though many spiritual facts of modern times which are a cluster of superstition have changed over a period time a true spirituality is a science based on psychology. Newton’s third law says that there will be corresponding reaction for every action. This is not only a physical law but also law of our life also. In one’s life span of one hundred years the first part is his fifty years and the second part is the remaining fifty years. Whatever meritorious and evil acts he has performed in the first half of his life he will reap the benefits of those acts in his second half of life.
If one has studied very well and worked hard in the first half he will be in a better economical conditions in the second half. If he is inflicted by evil acts in the first half diseases will strike him in the second half. We can feel this from the personal experiences of others. But all will not fall under this category. One has a child with autism problem another good person is suffering by cancer. What answer does spiritual science has for this? As far as these persons are concerned the first half means his previous birth. The second half means this birth(present birth). They experience the effects of meritorious and evil acts of his previous birth in this birth. If one lives a long life in this birth inspite of doing evil acts in this birth because of the meritorious of his previous birth (first half) he reaps the benefits of them in this birth(second half). Perhaps Ganpath might have put that dog in hunger in his previous birth.
That dog might have worked hard as a labour under him in the previous birth and he would not have give adequate salary to it. It might have felt sad in the previous birth. Who knows? Because of this sin committed by Ganpath in his previous birth the malaria he got in this birth was cured by offering curd rice in this birth to that dog. Baba is a Siddha Purusha who have the capacity to know the previous birth of a devotee. Ganpath was thinking on terms and gotimmersed in Bhakthi.
Let us now look into another leela of Baba. Ratanji Wadia was living in Nanded in Nizam presidency. He was a very rich person. But he did not have progeny i.e., not blessed to have children. He decided to go to shirdi and worship Baba as advised by one of his friends. He took along with him Rupees Five as Dakshina to offer to Baba. While worshipping Baba by forgetting himself in his presence, Baba asked him Dakshina. “You intent to give me five rupees as Dakshina. But you have already given me Three rupees and fourteen anas(Eight four naya paise) Now give me the balance amount.” Wadia was surprised to hear this. “ I am meeting and worshipping for the first time now. But why he tells like this?” Though he could not come out of his surprise he gave the balance amount to Baba as demanded by him. How could he have given Dakshina earlier when this is his first visit to Shirdi? But when came to understand the details, soon thereafter his mind was wonder struck.
