There is a separate shrine in the temple called “Vel Kottam” where Vel the weapon of Lord Muruga is installed. Special Pujas are performed for the Vel on Sundays, Kruthika and Poosa star days. Those who worship the Vel regularly and continuously are relieved of prolonged and serious illness and derive all the benefits in life, is the staunch faith of the devotees. | | |
