KABILA THEERTHAM: Kabila theertham is situated at the bottom of the Tirumala hill (Alibri). This is also called AZHWAR THEERTHAM. A Brahmin, Madhavan by name was a womanizer and fell sick. By thinking that going to Tirumala he will find a solution for his problem(sickness) he came here. He took bath in the kabila theertham and did Pinda thanam{oblations to the deceased forefathers} and got cured from his disease. By climbing to Tirumala hills, and worshipping the Perumal there, he attained Moksham.By coming here Kabila Rishi got the blessings of Lord Shiva. Hence this water tank is known by this name. The godess Kamakshi accompanied by her husband Kabileswarar temple is on the bank of this tank. Now this tank has no water and some water flows during rainy season.

PAPAVINASA THEERTHAM: A Brahmin by the name Pathran along with his wives was living in absolute poverty. One among the wives in consultation with his father and in consultation with her father asked her husband to take bath and worship Perumal regularly. By acting as per the advice his wife he took bath in this Papavinsa Theertham he was relieved from his poverty. Bhavani amman temple is situated on the banks of this theeertham. This theertham has been to fall as separate streams at five places. It is believed that by taking bath in this theertham and thereafter worshipping Bhavani amman one will get back his lost property.

AAKASA GANGAI THEERTHAM: A Brahmin by name Kesava Bhattar one day performed Srartham (Thithi) for his deceased father, gave food for the Brahmins and also dakshina for them and bid them farewell. After this function Kesava Bhattar became ugly figure. When he was lamenting not knowing the reason for his figure to become ugly Agasthya rishi came there. The Brahmin told every thing to him and became a worried person. Agashiyar told him that who perform Srartham with the help of Brahmins who do not have children that person will become ugly figure. To get rid of this sin he should take bath in aakasa ganga theertham so that he will get back his original figure. Kesava Bhattar did as per the advice of the Rishi and got back his original figure. Papavinasa theertham, aakasa ganga theertham and venugopala swamy temple are the places where God Balaji played Chokkattan game(Chess). These three places are situated each one near the other. Bus facilities are available to visit these three places. From Lebakshi bus stand buses are available to visit these places. The to and fro bus fare is.Rs.15. This tank derives its name from Godess Padmavahi’s father whose name is AaakasaRajan.
