  The temple celebrates Navarathri festival grandly in the month of Tamil Purattasi – September-October.  
     
 Temple's Speciality:
     
  Presiding deity of Mother Maha Durga graces the devotees sitting on the Lion, Her vehicle from the sanctum sanctorum. Generally as a tradition, Vahans of deities are outside the sanctum placed before the deity.

  The temple is open from 7.00 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. and from 4.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. On Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays the temple is open for devotees during the Rahu Kalam time – 3.00 p.m. to 4.30 p.m.; 10.30 a.m. to 12.00 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. respectively.

The temple conducts special pujas on Fridays between 10.30 a.m. to 120.00 and Lamp Puja (Vilakku Puja) on the Ashtami and Poorrnima days during the full moon fortnights.

Durga worshiship is elaborately described in our ancient scriptures.  Durga means a fort that shelters and protects people from enemies.  Mother Durga protects Her devotees from any and every enemy visible or invisible. We praise Mother Parasakthi as Durga.   Mother Durga in the temple is seen sitting on Her lion vahan, placing Her right foot on a lotus and Her palms showing blessing mudras to devotees.  Devotees surrendering at Her feet would have no worry of any kind and shall live long with all happiness and prosperity.
