Two great festivals are celebrated in the temple, first in Masi (February-March) beginning from Swathi Star day to Tiruvonam star day and the second in Karthikai (November-December) in the same order from Swathi star day to Tiruvonam star day.
Temple's Speciality:
It is the staunch belief of the devotees praying for child boon that they would be blessed with their wish. Those who had lost their first child also will have their prayers responded with a next child. There is a perennial lamp – Anaya Vilakku – in the temple called Kada Vilakku with three steps representing Rig, Yajur and Sama Vedas. Lighting this lamp and worship is called Ulapanna. The child born from this prayer would live long with name and fame, it is believed. The Palguna Theertham is a vast tank within the temple.
Opening Time:
The temple is open from 4.00 a.m. to 11.15 a.m. and from 4.00 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.
