  Temple History:

Earlier, Lord Vinayak was on small platform on the Oorani side of the place.  Devotees decided to build a temple in the year 1984 and were thinking of a name.  Some farmers passing by were speaking with the words Vettri, Vettri meaning success.  They decided to name the Lord as Vettri Vinayaka.  The construction of the temple was completed in 2008 followed by a grand consecration.
